COVID-19 Health System Response Monitor (HSRM)

The COVID-19 Health Systems Response Monitor (HSRM) contains information on how countries’ health systems responded to the pandemic between 2020 and early 2022. The Archive of individual country evidence is complemented by cross-country comparative Analyses which synthesise policy responses to key challenges presented by the crisis and point the way to building better-prepared and more resilient health systems.

Managing cases

23 July 2020 | Policy analysis

A response sheet containing procedures on what to do in the event of a suspected infection was very quickly developed and distributed to the general public. In case of symptoms or risks, people were advised not to go to their doctor or hospital to avoid any spread, but instead to call the dedicated call centre for advice. In the case of mild symptoms, people were advised to stay at home and testing was carried out by the home collection team. In the event of serious symptoms, the Fire Brigade would transport them to the Princess Grace Hospital Center.
